I need a good website to expose my work, show professionalism and acquire more and better clients. I believe that these are good reasons to you reward me. :)
    Thanks

  2. Hi Alex,
Thank you so much for following me on twitter.

Essentially, with my blog and Twitter presence, I’m building a follower base and platform for my fiction writing. The blog is really about my love for words: progress on my almost-ready-for-the-agent-search young-adult dystopic manuscript; my work to help save Evanston, IL libraries; other authors whose work I love; and even some marketing/branding goodness for good measure (since by day I’m a Copywriter in digital marketing).

Picking me would be a worthy challenge! I have a blog on wordpress.com, but I actually JUST purchased http://www.margogremmler.com through my account this week! I haven’t moved over to it yet, and a redesign would set it off right. In addition, I went to school for design myself and was an art director for seven years – so my taste level will rock your socks. The existing wordpress theme I’m using is a good example – but I would love love love your input and expertise. Good god, your site is lovely!

So glad to have met you. Thanks for such a great contest. I hope I win!

    Hi Alex,

great to have connected with you. The wonders of Twitter…!

Thanks for the opportunity to enter your competition – what a fantastic prize!

I started http://www.tamegoeswild.com back in 2002 whilst stranded in the Swiss Alps. Since then the site has become a sprawling mass of bits and bobs bolted together, with a front page out of the 1930s and a blog section that bears no resemblance to the rest of the site, instead suspiciously resembling an off-the-shelf wp template!

I have long been wanting to bring all of this under one roof (well, at least all the text-heavy sections, the photo catalog, no longer updated, would be kept as kind of legacy archive).

Over the past few months my web presence has become increasingly important, as I do more work for other organisations wishing to utilise the social web / wordpress etc. Because of this, more people are looking at my site for examples of the work I’ve done …but finding the time to create a professional looking design is very difficult, thus I find myself a little embarrassed to tell people about it!

I think creating a design for my site would be a lot of fun, with plenty of scope for experimentation. I have a wealth of media (text/images/audio/video) available, and an existing wordpress database to plug into.

I would love to be able to showcase your work every time someone came to my site (which perhaps I should rebrand as http://www.josephta.me), which I would be proud to tell people about. With increasing exposure in the media (TV, Yahoo News etc) and some big plans for future high-profile events, my website will become a valuable part of your portfolio!

    Well, fingers crossed!

Thanks again for the opportunity. See you online :-)

    Joseph

    Hi Alex,

First off – thanks for following me.

I started experimenting with twitter and blogging on wordpress.com because it’s free and a great place to start marketing a small business. I blog about healthy living and also about some nutritional supplements I sell. The blogs now crossed over 4100 hits and I feel it is time to leave the limited functionality of a wordpress.com blog and explore the features of a self hosted Wordpress blog. I want to be able to have control over all aspects of it from design to the functionality, which I cannot do currently. I have seen some amazing things on wordpress sites and would love to be able to brand myself as an expert in my chosen brand of products.

I also would love to use the blog as a lead generation tool.

Thanks for offering such a cool prize – fingers crossed I win :)

Alex, I am known as the Wizard of Ahhhs. As a Life Coach and Designer, I help people design their lives inside and out. Like a sculpture in a slab of granite, waiting to be discovered by the artist’s chisel, my perfect web site awaits in the creative juices of its designer. It will be art in and of itself, a reflection of and inspiration for the simple beauty my clients will uncover within themselves as they journey through their very best lives.

Your gallery speaks to me because your designs are clean, modern and fresh. And I AM the winner of your very cool contest not only because my vocation of helping people find joy and creativity is a noble cause, or even because I’m funky and fun and creative and gush with optimism, but because it’s my intention to launch my business in a BIG, very COOL, very WOW way. It’s already done :) You’ll want to start sharpening your chisel…
